differ from other career counseling and educational planning
services based on the superior customer service granted throughout
the
process. Although hourly rates are fixed, services provided within
each
session are catered to the individual needs and requests of each
client. For instance, if a client requests 5 hard copies
of their finalized resume, this is gladly provided, even if it
is not a
standard procedure. |

sites due to the continual updating of pertinent career related
information. You
can count on this site to provide you with articles regarding the
latest economic trends, employment laws, links to current and reputable
career and personality inventories, links to job search sites,
and articles of interest to multiple populations, ensuring clients
from diverse backgrounds have access
to information often difficult to locate online and offline. |

For over 8 years, Andrea King has successfully assisted hundreds
of people with dozens of career and educational issues ranging
from deciding on a career path to preparing for a job interview.
Andrea is intuitive, creative, sensitive, empowering, and resourceful
- varied qualities that are often hard to find in a counselor. |
|
Having earned a M.S. in Counseling with specializations in both
Career and College Counseling from San Francisco State University,
Andrea also received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of
California. She is an active member of several professional counseling
organizations including the National Career Development Association,
Oregon Counseling Association, and Oregon Employment and Training
Association. Each year she attends the International Career Development
Conference, the largest conference in existence for career and
academic counseling professionals. Attending conferences each year
enables her to add to the array of skills utilized within her work,
becoming informed of the latest developments in her field. In addition,
Andrea receives continuing education units towards her certification
as a National Certified Counselor (N.C.C.), the highest level of
certification available to counselors nationwide. |

Andrea's career counseling style calls upon techniques from
multiple theoretical orientations, although the majority of her
work is classified as brief solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral,
enabling clients to overcome difficulties in a period of time notably
shorter than clients working with counselors that strictly utilize
longer term approaches such as psychodynamic or Rogerian. |

Andrea offers an estimate as to the length of time it will take
for clients to complete the career counseling process based on
the career and/or educational issues presented. Each client develops,
in conjunction with Andrea, a realistic and highly satisfying career
and/or educational plan, with the intention of it being followed
through accordingly, ultimately leading to successful results. |

Andrea works very comfortably and successfully with clients
from diverse cultural, economic, and sexual backgrounds, as well
